Purpose of project:
The main goal of the project is to strengthen and improve the services already provided in the Women’s Safe House and to expand its capacity by 15 places in the context of applying the minimum European standards for providing support and protection to women experiencing violence and their children. The implementation of the project will enable not only the expansion of capacities for safe housing for women and children in the Nitra self-governing region, in the city of Nitra, from the original 17 spots to 32 spots, but also the improvement of the services already provided. As part of the project, we will also focus on raising awareness through an awareness-raising campaign in the Nitra self-governing region, which aims to raise awareness among the general public about violence against women, the possibilities, forms and means of tackling violence against women and children. The campaign will be centrally distributed via internet platforms, but mainly in the form of a high-quality podcast format. The campaign will also include visual outputs that will follow the podcast series.
Through an educational campaign will offer space and opportunity to acquire knowledge, information on violence against women and children, their safety, non-victimizing intervention, forms of assistance, appropriate and inappropriate procedures for working with the target group.
Target groups:
- victims of domestic and gender-based violence – women and their children, who find themselves in a crisis and often unsolvable life situation, from which they cannot get out without help, they do not know how to solve their situation. We also consider disadvantaged citizens in terms of disability to be a target group. belonging to minorities and other restrictions on access to the labor market, which make it difficult for a disadvantage to deal with a crisis situation such as domestic violence,
- general public, which will be informed about the issue of domestic violence, gender-based violence, forms of assistance, the existence and necessity of the Women’s Safe House as part of the project implementation,
- professional employees of the recipient but also employees of organizations, institutions of the public and non-public sector who will be participants in the educational campaign.

1. Spatial extension of the Women’s Safe House and its equipment
2. Strengthening and improving the services of the existing Women’s Safe House and operating a expanded Women’s Safe House
